When we founded Allerton Heneghan & O’Neill in 1978 we knew that many search firms would be larger, but that none could offer clients better service on their most challenging assignments.

We built our future on this simple premise. Clients responded and the business continues to grow year
after year.

While we purposely remain small, our efforts on behalf of clients and our contributions to the profession enable us to compete with much larger firms. For example, we’ve appeared on the list of America’s “Fifty Leading Search Firms” by Executive Recruiter News based on our reputation, professionalism, firm growth, and quality of work.

Since our founding, Allerton Heneghan & O'Neill has been privileged to serve a diversified client base of
quality organizations.

We’ve successfully completed search assignments for senior executives in a wide variety of disciplines, in
most major industries, nationally and internationally. Repeat business represents 85% of our practice.

We believe an open, professional process is the best approach to executive search.

A partner is personally responsible for managing your search and recruiting the executive who best fills your position. Each assignment also has a research associate who is responsible for research and logistics. This is your “in-house” person who always knows the status of your search.

We regularly communicate the status of your search throughout the assignment. This information helps you monitor our progress and helps us both flag potential obstacles during the search process. We work closely with you to develop a range of solutions. Just like you, we hate to see a minor problem turn into a crisis and then into excuses.

We return your calls promptly. The partner will always call you back, We will always respond to your call with the information you need promptly. Also, our home telephone numbers appear on our business cards if you need to reach us after hours.

We pride ourselves on our creative approach to identifying, qualifying and recruiting the right executive for your position. We use the detailed position specifications we develop together as a search blueprint for conducting original research in the marketplace. This is augmented by our experience, our proprietary industry and functional databases, published sources, and industry contacts.

Because of our manageable size, we are not hampered by the hierarchy and structure of our larger competitors. We limit the number of clients in each industry to avoid “off-limits” conflicts.

You can depend on us to fill the position. Our goal is client satisfaction—that means finding the right executive in the shortest time frame. If the right candidate doesn’t surface immediately, we will work as long as it takes until he or she is recruited and hired.

You expect a high return on your search investment—that means hiring a key executive to help the organization increase profits and shareholder value.

As consultants whose service is a part of this investment, we apply our experience, expertise, and research resources to manage an effective process to produce this return.

For our efforts, we charge a competitive professional fee. Any out-of-pocket expenses we incur are itemized and are directly attributable to the search.

Regarding such expenses, we recognize our fiduciary responsibility to manage the money we spend on a search assignment as if it were our own. Our common goal is to seek out and recruit the best possible candidates from whom you can choose the right executive for the job.

We believe the key ingredient to performing a successful search is developing a close working partnership between consultant and client.
